1. San Juan Fiestas in Poble Sec (From June 20th to 24th, 2026)
The summer solstice is experienced with a great community spirit in the Poble Sec neighborhood. This celebration features a wide variety of cultural, traditional, and religious events.
- Saturday, June 20th: Festivities kick off at 18:00 h with the “II Corre i no et quedis sec” musical tour through local establishments. Later, at 21:00 h, Plaça de Catalunya hosts the traditional open-air tomato-bread dinner (Sopar popular del pa amb tomàquet). This event features the presentation of the neighborhood’s pubilla and hereu, wrapping up at midnight with music from DJ HXO.
- Sunday, June 21st: The afternoon is dedicated to children, featuring water games, foam, and music at 18:30 h. Afterwards, at 19:30 h, the Malvasia Interpretation Center (CIM) hosts an enogastronomic tasting. This experience pairs traditional cocas (sweet flatbreads) with iconic Sitges Malvasia wine.
- Tuesday, June 23rd: Midsummer Eve begins at 14:00 h with the firing of the 12 morteretes (firecrackers). At 19:00 h, the traditional Flama del Canigó (Canigó Flame) arrives at Plaça de Catalunya. The great Verbena party officially starts at 23:30 h with light and gunpowder, followed by a long night of dancing with DJ XVII, Blu Versions (1:00 h), and DJ Miku (3:00 h).
- Wednesday, June 24th: On the patron saint’s day, a solemn Mass takes place at 10:30 h at Sant Joan Church. At 11:30 h, the traditional parade features stick-dancing groups (Colla Noies and Colla Mitjana de Bastons). This is followed by traditional sardanas music at 12:00 h at the Hospital de Sant Joan Baptista. After an afternoon Mass at 17:00 h, the festivals conclude at Plaça de Joan Duran i Ferret at 22:00 h with habaneras singing by Barcarola, warm rum (cremat), and the final midnight firecracker run.
2. Correllengua de Sitges 2026 (From June 23rd to 28th, 2026)
This cultural initiative is dedicated to supporting, celebrating, and promoting the social use of the Catalan language. Furthermore, this year’s edition pays a special tribute to the renowned writer and journalist Josep Maria Espinàs.
- Tuesday, June 23rd: The festival opens symbolically at 19:00 h in Plaça de Catalunya with the lighting of the Flama del Canigó.
- Saturday, June 27th: At 19:00 h, the opening lecture “Josep Maria Espinàs, un home de fer feines” takes place at the Grup d’Estudis Sitgetans headquarters. Later, at 20:30 h, the LGTBIQ+ community hosts the “Punxa-me-la” party. This is a unique nightlife session featuring exclusively Catalan hits at Bear Dance Sitges.
- Sunday, June 28th: This is the main day of the festival. At 12:00 h, a lively street parade starts from the Ribera Park, located right in front of La Fragata beach. It moves through the town center accompanied by the GTS Marcets grallers (traditional wind musicians). Upon reaching Cap de la Vila at 13:00 h, a public reading of the manifesto takes place. In the afternoon, at 18:30 h, the Miramar Cultural Center hosts the play “Pompeu Fabra: jugada mestra!”. Finally, the day closes at 21:00 h at the Racó de la Calma with an intimate pop concert by Anna d’Ivori.
3. Cases Noves Festival (From July 4th to 6th, 2026)
This historic neighborhood celebrates its traditional festivities in honor of Sant Pere (St. Peter). Thanks to its newly revitalized festival committee, all events are grouped across a single weekend to maximize community participation.
- Friday, July 4th: The festival begins with an explosion of energy at 22:00 h at Pont dels Ocells. This marks the 26th edition of the iconic Cases Noves Correfoc (fire-run), featuring multiple local and guest devil groups. Once the fire run ends, the celebration continues with music at Plaça dels Castellers.
- Saturday, July 5th: At 14:00 h, a firecracker blast invites everyone to the party. At 19:30 h, a Solemn Mass is held at Sant Sebastià Hermitage. This is followed by a street parade with the Colla Jove de Bastons leading to Plaça dels Castellers. At 22:00 h, the opening festival speech takes place, followed by a tribute to the oldest neighborhood residents and the presentation of the traditional youth ambassadors (Pubilla and Hereu). The night ends with an open-air concert by Veneno en la Piel and DJ Lagarto.
- Sunday, July 6th: Children can enjoy an afternoon party filled with music and soap bubbles at 19:30 h. At 21:00 h, the traditional habaneras concert features the group Mar i Vent. Warm rum is served to the audience right before the final traca firecracker run that concludes the festival.
4. Campdàsens Festival (Sunday, July 5th, 2026)
Taking place on the first Sunday of July, this historic pilgrimage brings locals together. It is an ideal event to celebrate the agricultural traditions and rural roots of the area. As a result, the celebration hosts a beautiful gathering of local families.
The celebration starts early at 8:30 h with Holy Mass at the Maset de Campdàsens. Throughout the day, one of the most traditional meeting points is the market stall selling the typical Hierbas del Garraf (Garraf Herbs). These local plants are well-known for their various medicinal properties. In addition, visitors can buy raffle tickets for the original painting featured on the festival program cover.
Furthermore, the event blends religious acts, traditional folklore, grallers music, and folk dances. Finally, the celebration moves to Can Lluçà for a communal countryside lunch and the reading of the traditional festival opening speech.
