In 2025, celebrations will run from <strong>September 13 to 28<\/strong>, with the main days on <strong>September 22 and 23<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festival blends Sitges\u2019 rich heritage: parades of giants and cabezudos, folk dances, fire parades, satirical verses, concerts, and religious processions. Santa Tecla, patron saint of the parish of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, is honored with a festive program where both children and adults play leading roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Highlight Events<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nit de Foc \u2013 Saturday, September 20<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most anticipated nights of Santa Tecla is the <strong>Nit de Foc<\/strong> (Night of Fire), a spectacular evening of flames, sparks, and music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>7:30 PM<\/strong>: <em>Timbalada<\/em> drum parade starting at Fragata.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8:30 PM<\/strong>: <em>Espetegafoc<\/em>, fireworks and crackling in Pla\u00e7a de l\u2019Ajuntament.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>9:30 PM<\/strong>: <em>Correfoc<\/em> with devils and fire beasts through the old town streets.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11:00 PM<\/strong>: Live concerts at Fragata beach.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Children\u2019s \u201cVersos\u201d \u2013 Friday, September 19 &amp; Sunday, September 21<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Kids also take center stage with the traditional <strong>versos infantils<\/strong> (children\u2019s satirical verses).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday, Sept 19 at 5:30 PM<\/strong>: Children\u2019s Proclamation at Palau del Rei Moro.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, Sept 21 at 5:30 PM<\/strong>: Gathering of children\u2019s dragons and devil groups at Pont d\u2019en Dom\u00e8nech, followed by parade and <em>versos infantils<\/em> performance.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Monday, September 22 \u2013 The Vigil<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The vigil marks the solemn start of festivities, crowned by fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2:00 PM<\/strong>: 21 cannon shots and bell ringing at Fragata.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7:00 PM<\/strong>: Civic procession from Santiago Rusi\u00f1ol street to the parish church.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11:00 PM<\/strong>: Fireworks show on Fragata beach, illuminating the church fa\u00e7ade.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tuesday, September 23 \u2013 Santa Tecla Day<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The feast day is the climax of the celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>6:30 AM<\/strong>: <em>Matinal de foc<\/em> fire parade through old town streets.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7:00 AM<\/strong>: <em>Matinal gran<\/em> with giants, cabezudos, and children\u2019s dances.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8:00 AM<\/strong>: <em>Matinal petita<\/em> for the youngest, starting at the Town Hall.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>11:00 AM<\/strong>: Solemn Mass at the Parish Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1:00 PM<\/strong>: Human towers (<em>castells<\/em>) in Pla\u00e7a de l\u2019Ajuntament and vermouth concert.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>6:30 PM<\/strong>: Descending the human tower (<em>pilar<\/em>) by Colla Jove de Sitges from Baluard.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7:00 PM<\/strong>: Grand procession in honor of Santa Tecla, with dances, music, and traditional figures.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>12:00 AM<\/strong>: Closing concerts on Passeig de la Ribera.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.staysitges.com\">Book with us and live the full Sitges experience\u2026<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every September, Sitges comes alive with one of its most cherished traditions: Santa Tecla, the small Festa Major.
