Consequently, the 2026 program is packed with essential cultural events:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday, June 5th (Opening &amp; Speech):<\/strong> Official acts begin in the afternoon. First, the <strong>86th National Carnation Show<\/strong> opens at the gardens of Hospital de Sant Joan Baptista. Meanwhile, the Bonsai Exhibition opens at Centre Cultural Miramar. Finally, the emotional Corpus Opening Speech (<em>Preg\u00f3<\/em>) takes place at night in the gardens of El Retiro.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saturday, June 6th (Making the Flower Carpets):<\/strong> During the night, the streets of the center fill up with energy. Countless artists and volunteers gather to cut and arrange thousands of carnations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday, June 7th (The Main Day):<\/strong> In the morning, you can admire the completed flower carpets in their prime. At noon, the famous <strong>Sitges Giants<\/strong> (<em>Gegants de la Vila<\/em>, <em>Gegants Moros<\/em>, and <em>Gegants Americanos<\/em>) parade through the center accompanied by traditional dances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sunday afternoon, June 7th (The Procession):<\/strong> The religious cortege and the town&#8217;s giants parade through the streets, stepping over the delicate floral mantles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>June 8th to 14th (Cultural Acts &amp; Closing):<\/strong> Throughout the week, exhibition visits and cultural talks continue. You can also witness the traditional award ceremony for the best-decorated streets and balconies. The festivities end on Sunday, June 14th, with the final octave procession at the Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla Parish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A stroll through history: 75 years of community spirit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Corpus of Sitges is not a recent trend; it has centuries of history behind it.
