Sitges is preparing for a long list of events, cultural proposals, and activities for 2024, continuing to make this town a gem for all types of tourism. The most notable and eventful dates are during the summer.
April 2024: In April, we have the celebration of Sant Jordi on the 23rd, the Catalan festival of the book and the rose, where Sitges will be filled with stalls selling roses and books along the promenade. Bears Sitges organises its renowned Bears Week Spring edition from April 26th to May 1st.
May 2024: In May, we have the events of the Sitges Next Festival on the 9th and 10th, an initiative of the city council that highlights and organizes talks on economic innovation for start-up brands, etc., and International Museum Day on the 18th, where museums will be open free of charge all day.
June 2024: Corpus Christi kicks off June on the 2nd, with its famous flower carpets in the historic centre of Sitges. Sitges Gay Pride takes place from the 5th to the 9th of June, where floats, music, and festivities take over the streets of the town and promenade. The new event that Gay Pride brings is the High Heel Race, a great height and obstacle competition on Saturday the 8th.
July 2024: July brings tranquility but also, music. The Jardins Terramar Festival starts on the 24th and lasts until early August. During this month, there are also more traditional celebrations, such as Nuestra Señora del Carmen on the 16th.
August 2024: Nuestra Señora del Vinyet, Sitges Barraques, and Sant Bartomeu’s Fiesta Mayor are some of the most anticipated events of the year. Throughout August, we can enjoy these events.
September 2024: To say goodbye to summer and make the most of it until the end, September is filled with Bear Week (August 30th to September 8th), the Fiesta Mayor of Santa Tecla (22nd and 23rd), and the Art Fair (28th and 29th).
October 2024: October is the month of cinema. The Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival takes place from October 3rd to 13th, accompanied by the harvest festival celebrated from October 18th to 20th.
