The Sitges Festa Major 2025 is about to begin. From August 15, the town fills with music, tradition, and fireworks to honor Sant Bartomeu. Here’s the full schedule from August 15 onwards so you don’t miss a thing.

August 15 to 21: Warming up for the big days

  • Barraques de Sitges
     Free concerts at Plaça de la Fragata from August 14 to 16. Live music and a festive seaside atmosphere.
  • Ball de Gitanes with diversity
     On August 21 at 6:00 PM in La Plaça (next to the Miramar Centre Cultural), featuring participants from the Fundació Ave Maria.
  • Funfair with sensory-friendly access
     On August 13, 14, 20, and 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, the fair at Parc de Can Robert will operate without lights or music for visitors with high sensory sensitivity.
    50% discount on rides on August 13 and 20.

August 22: Festive warm-up

  • Havaneres with Les Anxovetes
     At 10:00 PM in La Plaça, with the traditional rom cremat.
  • Teen workshops (PAM)
     From 6:00 PM to midnight at Miramar: T-shirt customization, necklaces, and “carretilla” hair braids.
  • Presentation of the new costume for the Gegants Americans
     From 6:00 PM at La Torreta, with DJ and festive atmosphere.
  • Dressing of the Gegants Moros
     From 6:15 PM at Palau del Rei Moro, with children’s participation.

August 23: Fireworks and tradition

  • Official opening speech (PregĂł)
     Given by the group Retrio.
  • Transfer of the image of Sant Bartomeu
     To the home of the pendonista, Joan Pros BorrĂ s.
  • 21 cannon shots
     At 2:00 PM from La Fragata.
  • Fireworks display
     At 11:00 PM over La Fragata beach. An unmissable highlight.

August 24: Main day in honor of Sant Bartomeu

  • Morning parade with traditional grallers and trabucaires.
  • Solemn mass at the parish church.
  • Civic-religious procession with the Colla Jove de Castellers de Sitges.

     A 120 m area to enjoy processions with reduced sound and light intensity.
